Gracious Groundhogs Along With My Favorite Super Bowl Dish!

I couldn't wait to post this today as I thought it came out amazing!  My class made this little guy last Friday but we did the writing part this morning and they had so much fun making it! I worked on this board with my gal A Cupcake for the Teacher. =)
We each had a different kind of groundhog.  They came out adorable!

Here's a closer look.
=)

I love the freckles on this one.
LoL
He really wants a pet groundhog too.  He was talking about it all day!

Of course  girl made this.  LoL  Too cute!  She would name her pet Groundhog Queen.
Precious!

If you haven't grabbed this little guy, you can head on over to my { TpT }
 to check out what's included.

But seriously... I had so much fun making this little guy!

He's just too cute!

Anyone excited for football this week?  I am! I am!  But honestly since my Cowboys aren't playing I have no idea who is!!

What I am really excited about is the
Food!!

I have a big evaluation on Monday so I can't stay out too late.  My friend is having a party and I told him I would bring a dip.  I know the best one.
When I first got Pinterest this was one of the first things I pinned and immediately made.  Seriously amazing and so easy!

I got this amazing recipe from Souffle Bombay.  She has some awesome recipes so drop by her Blog to check it out.

This only has 5 ingredients:

1 package of cream cheese
1 cup mayo
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 cup diced vidalia onion
1 tsp pepper

350 for 45 minutes and Voila!!

I love garlic so I add some garlic powder in there along with some extra cheese.  I am a huge cheese fan.
=)

Just amazing.  I can't wait to eat this on Sunday.  I eat this with yummy bread and crackers.

When my dad first had it, he mixed it in with his rice LoL.  Whatever works.  This is actually suppose to feed 4 or 5 people and I have to serve my honey or he eats more than half!

What are you doing for the Super Bowl?  Are you making any special dishes?  I'd love to hear it.

=)

If your a follower of my { TpT }, you might have gotten an e-mail saying that I just uploaded a new product.  The first person who can tell me what that product is, will win it! =)

Linking Up With Love!

Happy Sunday all!  Hope everyone had a great weekend.  I caught up on a lot of rest!

I am so glad to be linking up with a fabulous blogger!  I am hookin up with Tessa from Tales from Outside the Classroom.

I love this linky because Tessa wants us to include things we love right now not just products!

First, I want to say I love this man so much!

He's my best friend, my own personal comedian, ugh just everything!  I'd be lost with out him!

Which leads me to my next love...

I love the ring he got me August 23, 2012!  It's so special and I always unconsciously find myself looking at it and giving it a kiss.  Weird right? LoL It's just amazing!

I love love love....

My beautiful most amazing best friends!  They are my maid's of honors and my other half.  When people first meet us they ask if we are sisters! LoL  They say we act the same and even talk alike...so we go along with it. =)  I love the picture on the left because we were in highschool then and my gosh are we just scary. LoL  I love how my one friend has a paper on her hand, I have a calculator (Ti-83 remember those) and pens in my pocket and my other friend has her skirt hiked up!  We always giggle and say things have not changed. =) Oh to have great friends.

Now on to my favorite products.  Well first I love my very own

It's full of fun printables the kiddies can work on for the day of love. =)

Head Over Heels With My New Favorite Fonts!

Hey sweets!  I recently got a new Mac which I totally love.  However, I wasn't able to figure out how and if I could transfer my old fonts from my old to new computer.  Needless to say, I spent one afternoon looking up and finding amazing fonts!  They are so cute and I am sure you will love them as well!  Take a look!

Those are my favorite fonts that I have stumbled upon online. =)

So...is it bad that I am already thinking of Valentine's Day with my kiddo's and with my honey? I always think about what I am going to give them and how I can't afford to spend a lot.  So I went on Pinterest for a hunt!  I found this adorable idea over from The Secret Life of Paper ... She came up with the cutest gift and may I add very INEXPENSIVE!  It's right up my alley.

I can grab the pencils from the Dollar Tree and cut the paper at school.  It seems very easy and simple to do.

What are you planning on doing for Valentine's Day?  Yes, I know it's still a while away but I'd love to hear your ideas.
=)

Short post!  I have to go see my blondie (fiance) coach!  He has a wrestling match and I  have  love to support.

Happy Wednesday!

January Must Haves!

Hey sweets!  I wanted to make this post short and sweet!  My day is so busy filled with seeing dj's/photographer/videographers for our wedding!  And I am finally ending my night with a dinner with my amazing bridesmaids!  So this post has to be to the point. =)

I wanted to go over my January Must Haves with you.  I have been using these monthly packets from an awesome blogger!  Kelly from Teacher Idea Factory has awesome packets every month.  This is awesome for morning work for your little ones as soon as they walk in that door .  You can check out that packet or her other awesome products by clicking HERE.  This is just some of the fun printables it includes!

She even has an awesome Math Unit!

These are awesome for extra practice, homework or morning.  I like to use the Reading in the morning time when they walk in.  The worksheet is already on their desk and they are now getting used to reading the directions on their own and working quietly.  It's great!

I like to give the Math after lunch because they are very energetic after eating so it gives them a challenge!

What do you like to do with your kiddies when they first walk in your door?  I'd love to hear your ideas. =)

That's it for now.  =)  I am off to get ready for an early dinner with my lovely bridesmaids.  Stay tuned this week for some awesome crafts coming your way!

Happy Sunday.

Product Swap with an Awesome Blogger!

Hey everyone.  Happy Saturday!  I am so excited to be linking up with for my 3rd product swap. I am linking up with Jessica from Mrs. Stanford's Class

MrsStanfordsClass

(Thanks to the amazing Michelle from The 3AM Teacher for the cute button)

I love doing this because I get to work with another blogger and share her great ideas!  So I was paired up with Sarah from Permanently Primary.  Check her page by clicking on the button below.

Permanently Primary

So first let me show you what I chose to review.
It's a bundle full of awesome printables for all the short vowels sounds.
Word Work Centers include (for EACH vowel):

-Shake Up (word search in a bottle!)
-Satisfy the Sentence (sentence completion)
-Mystery Word (unscramble)
-Line 'Em Up! (ABC Order)
-Build-a-Word (building words with letter tiles)
-Play It (phonics board game)
-Word Sort (sorting by pattern)
-Locate the Hunks (finding words with spelling pattern)
-Rainbow Words (repetitive writing practice)
-I Have, Who Has (word recognition game)
One word...
AMAZING!
It really did come in handy since we just went over the short a sound.  I could use the printables in this packet to use as center work.  This way I can make sure the kiddies master the short a sound.  It's also a bonus that the worksheets are super fun!
Let me show you some of the worksheets the kiddies worked on.  I had them work on our magic carpet for an added bonus.

Let me explain this cute activity.  It's called Word Sort.  The kids are given flash cards with words that either have the short a sound or do not.  The students are to work together and sort the words to figure out which word belongs in the correct list.
This is what it looked like when the little ones were done.

I think they did a great job.  They had a great job doing it too!
Another fun center was Line Em Up.  It's basically a fun ABC Order game.
I printed out the cards in blue to make it more interesting.

This is what it looks like before the kids got to work.

And what it looked like when it was all completed.

The kiddies really liked working on these worksheets.
My kiddos had to read the 1st worksheet on their own.  They were then asked to circle the words that have the short a sound.  I think they did a pretty great job.  I was pretty impressed!
The next worksheet was fun too.  Using different crayons they had to rewrite the short a words listed.  Of course girls completed they worksheets, hence the pink crayons! =)

This worksheet was probably the most challenging for them. (notice the cross outs) We did this one together. Boy did they love it.  They had to unscramble the short a words.  I think they liked it so much because some of the kids would offer non sense words and it made the class laugh!
Oh to be a kid again!
These kinds of printables were also available for the other short/long vowels.  This is just what you need to help your kiddies practice their vowels and have fun at the same time.  They can be used as center work or independent work.  I was even considering giving some of these printables for homework.  Whatever you use it for will definitely help your class master the short vowel sound.  If you haven't checked Sarah's page yet, click HERE to take you right there.
Did you love this product as much as I did?  Well Sarah and I thought it would be great to do a quick giveaway for your very own chance to win this awesome bundle!  Follow the Rafflecopter below to enter! This giveaway will end on Tuesday, so enter now.
 Good Luck!

Classroom Tips for Organizing Books!

So as you know, this summer I created crates this past summer.  If you want to refresh your memory click HERE to take you to that post on how to create them!  They were easy and fun!  I made them with another teacher friend.

The kids love coming here and always behave when I mention I will be choosing kiddies to sit down on the crates.  Most importantly, I use this for guided reading.  I sit down on the rug and read with them.

I have had so many people come in to tell me how much they love it.  I grown a  real big ego from that. hehe  Anywho, this is how my reading corner looks!

Isn't it awesome? I think so. =) And that chair...
AMAZING!

I find myself making excuses to go back there. =)

Well this is what you probably don't know.

I use them for storage!

This is a closer pic of my crate!

This is what I store inside....

My books for each month!

Every month there's a new holiday or person we celebrate.  Whether it's Martin Luther King or Santa, I store them by month.  That way when there is a new month, I go to the bins and grab the month I need.  Take a closer look...

The book are in Ziploc bags.  EASY! Such a great way to get organized and less hectic when your searching for a particular book (been there...not fun).

Since it's January, I have books for MLK, New Year's and Penguins.  It's such an east strategy move.  I am so happy I came up with it.

If you don't have crates to store them in you can still put them in Ziploc bags and store them in your closet.  You can store them in cubbies as well.  Wherever you have a small open space would work.  This would save you tons of time and energy.  You can also store other things in there.  I had TONS of pencil holders in the beginning of the year.  I stored the extras (about 50) in one of the crates as well.

Since I do not have a rack yet for my library, I have to make with what I have.  So this is what I do each month to display my books for the month.

When the kiddies see me walk back to my reading corner and pick out a book, they know it's reading time and they get so excited!

I hope this was helpful for you today.  It has made my life easier since I have been storing these labeled books

How do you organize your books in the classroom?  I'd love to hear your ideas. =)

I still have not announced the winners for my giveaway.  Please bare with me.  I was given a new Mac from my honey this Christmas.  At first I loved him and couldn't stop thanking him.  Now I am reconsidering taking all that back.  LoL I get overwhelmed easily and let's just say, I am panicking.  I hate change.  I am still very much exploring this computer so give me until tomorrow to announce!

Enjoy you night. =)
