Playful Penguins!

I am soo excited to finally be sharing this with you guys.  I have been working on this little guy for quite some time.  I know my little ones will love making them this winter.

Every January we start the penguin unit with my little ones.  It's always a fun unit because they just love learning about animals.  I thought I would make it more interesting by adding a sweet little craft into it.  I thought these cuties would really brighten up their penguin unit.

I added printables, I know my kiddies will benefit from and still have a fun time working on it during class or homework.

I love this printable.  I think this would be a fun addition to a center or used as a free time ditto.

These printables I think would fit perfect when you have finished your lesson on penguins or are half way done.  It's a great way for students to review what they have learned and jot it down.

The following printables may just be my favorite.

My students are just learning about fact and opinion, so this would be awesome to supplement in the class.   I plan on giving my little ones a small report to do over the winter break which is in February.   I think it will be a perfect ending to a wonderful perfect unit.

Here's a glimpse at the review guide for the penguin quiz.

This bundle is just $3.50.  You can grab it by clicking here.  .  It's a great addition to supplement your arctic unit.

How to Clean Your Dry Erase Boards!

Happy Sunday! What a long week it's been.  I am slowly counting the days until Thanksgiving break so I can just SLEEP!

In the meantime, I'm hear to give you some tips and tricks on how to clean your dry erase boards.  If you don't have a chalk board like me, then you are always writing on this dry erase board.  Most of the time after erasing so many times, it starts to streak and hard to erase completely.  Sometimes after erasing it kinda looks like this...

OMG just looking at that gets me annoyed.  The reason why it sticks and smears like that is because of the black markers I use.  When I use bright colors, they erase just fine.  However with black markers, they tend to stay on longer.

Now when I use this amazing miracle worker,

This is  dry erase towelettes from my obsession Really Good Stuff. I simply love it.  I buy a whole bunch at a time because I love them more than erasers.  They get the job done and make my boards look so darn squeaky clean, it's just awesome.

It makes all the sticky ooey go away.

Doesn't it looks phenoms?

Here's a better look when close together.

If you have a dry erase like me, I definitely suggest this towelette for easy clean up.  Just wipe off and it wipes off clean and clear.

Turkey Talk with a DIY Treat!

Happy Sunday!  I have been neglecting my sweet little blog lately and it's been making me sad. **tear**
I have so many ideas, I want to share with you, but I never find the time with all the wedding planning!  I did want to share with you my Save the Dates!  I ordered these from Shutterfly with an AMAZING deal!  Originally they were 1.79 which for 95  cards would have been $170.  HMM that's not up my alley.  However with a few coupon codes and a little prayer, I got 95 cards for $95 with shipping.  I was so impressed!  Here's how they turned out.

Don't you just love them?  I am obsessed and can't wait to give them out next week.

Moving on, I have been reading my little ones Thanksgiving stories from my little holiday section of our class library.

My kiddies love when I grab books from here because they know it's got to be a good story if it's on display.  I got this book rack from Really Good Stuff just for $19.99.  It's  a great way to display your special books.  In my case, I like to take out special books each month.  It's usually whatever the holiday or theme is.

Do you have any of these books in your class?  These books are just so awesome.  They are perfect for my little ones and so much fun to read.

My favorite is  The Turkey Saves the Day.  You can grab this book here just for .99 at Amazon.

It's a great book to get your little ones to infer and make predictions.

Finally, this year I have been on the hunt for going shopping early to avoid being bankrupt at the end of the year.  With my wedding around the corner and in process of house hunting, my fiancĂ© and I are doing a lot of holiday things this year on our own.  That right we are become DIY kind of people.  It's actually lots of fun finding and creating things.  This is just something I created in a blink of an eye thanks to Pinterest.  I can't remember where I pinned this too as I have 1000 boards, so if you please know leave me a comment as I want to leave this fabulous person credit for her amazing idea!

I bought 6 Dunkin Donuts gift cards.  I plan on giving them to the lovely ladies who work at our school in the office.  This is how they turned out.

Isn't it so adorable

It took about 3 seconds to make and I think it's cute and so personable.

Ahh I am off to finish some more products I have been slacking on.  It's been taking me a bit but I am almost FINALLY done with my Penguin and Polar Bears Unit.  But they are coming out seriously awesome.  Hopefully it will be up and out by this week.

Are you doing anything DIY this holiday?  I'd love to hear some of your ideas!!

You can grab this by clicking here.  Please let me know what you think.  I love to hear your thoughts. =)

and here I am linking up with Farley for the currently.  I haven't done this in quite a bit, but am glad to be back!!

Yummy Pin!!

I got this easy snack/pics from Laurealism.   This is surprisingly healthy because this is serious AMAZING!

Pumpkin muffins!

This is so easy to make you need....

*pumpkin (the real deal)
*egg (optional but I think it's necessary)
*spiced cake mix

I added some cinnamon and sugar over the top of the muffins and it gives it a nice sticky glaze..YUM!

I have done this a few times and have alternated the spice mix for Chocolate cake.  Then I added TONS a small dash of chocolate chips.  This is my favorite by far.

Mix all 3 ingredients and put in lined muffin tins and set in the over at 325 degrees for 20-25 min.  All ovens are different so make sure to check if it's done by sticking a knife in the middle of the muffin.  If it comes out clean, it's done!

Now the hardest part is letting it cool.  I tried eating it warm and it is nothing compared to cool.  When it is cool, I toss in some powdered sugar and dig in.

I have been making this for a few weeks now and adding it to my snacks at work.

LOVE IT!
